Plantbased Day 1 Week 1

So Plant base day 1 week 1 I would say was a huge success!

Reminder earlier post where I shared we will consuming less meat by having a few plant based days. Well, today I planned our shakes, one meal, and a few snacks.

That is not enough for me! So better planning needed for sure. And not really Alex Pilson with the muscle that he has been putting on. You have to fuel growth! Just as you have to eat to lose fat!!

If I am being 100% transparent I was scared to death how dish one was going to taste so I made very little Chickpea pasta. Now I know its good and will fill the plate next time.

Did I do 100% plant based today. No, Because I did not plan properly I ate two eggs this evening. And I am about to dive into some ice cream.

Alex ate the little bit of chocolate we had remaining and it sharing some ice cream with me tonight.

Today was a success because success does not mean perfection- it means you won the day. And we won because we had a mostly plant based meal and we ate high quality high nutrient whole food for most of the day.

Becoming healthy and fit is not an all or nothing game- it should never be. That is a game that cannot be won! We win one bite at a time, one day at a time, and sometimes one hour at a time. So what if we have something from our old habits- we do not beat ourselves up- we enjoy it and focus on our wins. The more wins we create the more progress we make!

It is about progress- not perfection!
