By now, if you actually read my post you know I have a rare incurable neurological disease.
One ailment of the disease is that I live in motion, yes motion, meaning my body does not regulate.
I get on a plane, I stay on the plane even when I depart.
I get on a boat, I stay on the boat even when I am on dry land.
Mine is persistent which means that my body takes on any and all motion.
It makes life interesting to say the least!
I had to relearn how to live in motion at Emory in Atlanta rehabilitation neurological unit. Why, because when you live in motion and are never on stable ground your perception on where you think things are and where they actually are is a little off. #accidentprone
That aspect of my #disease is just an ailment of the disease.
When you have a #neurological disease you gain first hand knowledge on just how important the nervous system is in the proper function of the body. It is responsible for so much! In essence, it is the phone line for the brain to the body and what happens when a phone line is cut- communication is cut off.
Trust me, living in motion, is a huge challenge. That’s okay, I have always appreciated and thrived with challenges.
The real challenge that comes with my disease is its attack on my blood.
I have written about this because there are four things that are not optional for me.
1. Keep active and keep challenging my body because it challenges my balance and perception issues that come with. I stop moving I digress further into motion.
2. Proper nutrition
3. Proper supplementation
4. My prescription drugs that help bring down the motion so I can have the most productive days and mind possible.
None of these are optional for me! 1, 2, and 3 are really not optional for anyone- we just think they are.
Ones health, fitness, mental well being depend on 1, 2, and 3!!
Ones quality of day, quality of years, and quality of decades depend on it!!
Having a disease that attacks ones blood means my blood struggles to hold nutrients so as dedicated as I am to proper nutrition and proper supplementation my blood work always shows a deficiency somewhere and I have to adjust accordingly. I am always adjusting to keep as balanced as possible. Literally, keeping in good health and fitness is an ongoing journey for me… AND…reality is it is for everyone. Some just have it easier than others:)
When I was introduced to @WrightAesthetics and had a detailed conversation with Elvira, the owner, regarding her background and her services to say I was excited was an understatement.
Her services are health and fitness, anti-aging focussed.
My focus:)
Yesterday, was my first in person meeting. Would my excitement hold or would my search continue for the perfect fit?
Not only did my excitement hold, she exceeded my expectations.
You see, I am skeptic until I am not. Just as I do not trust until trustworthiness is proven.
Some may call it a weakness, I call it being street smart.
I understand, that unfortunately, there are far too many fakes in this world, posers in this world, users in their world, people with their own agenda without care for your well being in this world, amateurs pretending to be pros in this world, etc. Far too many that live and practice at minimum standards, minimum education, and minimum customer service versus seeking to excel.
Only the best of the best for me. Only the best of the best for my clients.
In addition to #redlighttherapy I did what I would call a health analysis hair test.
#Blood and #urine tells us most recent and can easily be manipulated, hair tells us truth.
And #truth is exactly what I received.
Not that I think a hair test can be manipulated, it cannot! Why do you think every drug user panics if they are subject to a hair test and they do not panic with a blood or urine test. Even knowing it cannot be manipulated I did not share with her until we were reading the results about my disease. My disease was showing up all over the report.
My #confidence in her services soared!
She pulled some hair from the root- it did not hurt- she made it painless. Put the hair in the test and it gets sent to a company in Germany. Results were back within 20 minutes.
That is how easy!
What I learned is priceless!
I learned where I am currently deficient, what foods I need to avoid, what foods I need to eat more of, what foods I am sensitive too. They even tell me what ingredients to avoid in make up, skin care, etc. The test even revealed I have had covid.
To say that it was accurate is an understatement!
Here is the funny thing. I have known for several months that my blood is not in balance. I have increased certain vitamins etc that I knew were struggling. I could tell my sodium was and still is low so I have been eating more salt. And what I have been doing is not enough which I also knew because I am not feeling 100% yet- not that I ever feel 100% with this disease- let’s say my new normal of what 100% means for me.
This test gave me better information than the extensive blood work I have to do every quarter.
How often should one do this hair test? Every 90 days. what do you do in the meantime, work with health and fitness coach aka me:) to make the necessary changes in nutrition to further #heal the #body.
At $210 every 90 days, it is worth every penny of investment. BTW, tell her Alexis sent you and receive 10% off.
Oh, and color treated or bleached hair etc does not matter.
My plan of action today. Go through all my make up and skin care to ensure nothing I use has what I should not be using based on my genetics.
Cheers to better health!
