Yesterday I posted about the GUT being our immune system!

In the words of Alex Pilson you don’t appreciate pooping until you are constipated. We you do not understand the difference of how good great health and fitness feels until you actually have great health and fitness. 70% of you do not! Probably about 15% of the remaining 30% are actually in premium health and fitness and the other 15% average or on the line of increasing the 70% obese, over fat, skinny fat- those in poor health and fitness.

Basically, what is the GUT? It is our digestion system which is uniquely designed to turn the food we eat into nutrients, which the body then uses for energy, growth, and cell repair.

I speak often about how amazing the human body is and what a fine tuned machine it is. Here is more evidence to that fact!

The digestion system begins in our mouth where chewing breaks down the food and saliva mixes the food to begin the process of breaking it down to a form your body can absorb and use.

The digestion system then continues into the throat where the esophagus (aka swallowing tube) delivers the food to the stomach.

The stomach which is a sac- like organ with strong muscular walls. In addition to holding the food, it is also the mixer and grinder. The stomach secretes acid and powerful enzymes that continue the process of breaking down the food.

When food leaves the stomach it is the consistency of a liquid or paste.

That liquid or paste travels to the small intestine- a long tube loosely coiled in the abdomen. If spread out it would be more than 20 ft long!! The small intestine continues to breakdown food by using enzymes released by the pancreas and bile from the liver. The three segments that make up the 20 ft long small intestine include the duodenum, jejunim, and ileum. The duodenum is largely responsible for continuing the process of breaking down food, the jejumim and ileum being mainly responsible for the absorption of nutrients into the bloodstream.

Three organs play a pivotal role in helping the stomach and small intestine digest food. The Pancreas, the Liver, and the Gallbladder.

The human body if more valuable than a Bugatti- a multi million dollar sports car that requires premium care and service to keep it running properly.

Our bodies are no different! The only difference is they are more resilient than a Bugatti… they give us a lot of grace to fuck up by working harder due to undo stress we place on them… and they give us a lot of warning lights/ signals letting us know there are issues before we have a mechanical break down.

The problem is we ignore them. We take our brilliant machines for granted. We take our health and our fitness for granted.

If the gut (gastrointestinal tract) is the long tube that starts at the mouth and ends at the back passage (anus) and involves so many organs in the body to pull nutrients out to nourish our bodies can you understand why good clean nutrition is so important to creating good health, good fitness, and your best body ever?

Can you see how good gut health is imperative to a flat belly?

Heartburn, Indigestion, Acid Reflux, Leaky Gut, Constipation, Diarrhea, etc is all because of poor gut health and if we have poor gut health we have poor health and fitness in general- PERIOD. This is not a question… this is a fact!

There is a reason why 70% of Americans and that percentage is climbing is obese, over fat, skinny fat, and in poor health and fitness.

It’s starts with poor food choices and not understanding what good nutrition is, not understanding how to heal the gut, how to heal the body naturally, and how to heal the metabolism for proper weight maintenance.

It is not a diet. It is lifestyle change that improves, well, your life and everything in it. It also brings a ton of value to those you love. Most important, it brings value to yourself in the form of #selfcare #selflove #selfesteem #selfconfidence #health #fit and you will have the most #selfrespect because you took ownership of your health and then took action!

Why the fuck are we taking better care of our cars then we are our most precious asset~ ourselves!
