
So I have some pretty exciting news. I submitted my story along with 4 photos for consideration to be chosen to compete for the cover of one the leading female muscle and fitness magazines and a $20,000 cash prize.
Plus all the momentum that would come as a result of winning such an honor in health and fitness.
Without a doubt nerves of self doubt set in just when completing the entry. Why? Well, I am 50 years young and will be competing against woman of all ages just to be chosen for the opportunity to compete…. and then if chosen competing against woman of all ages for the win.
You see, everyone has insecurities! That includes me!!
I am learning that allowing yourself to be vulnerable creates a new realm of beauty that can only be reached when we release ego that causes us to stay guarded, protective, and distant to some degree to present a picture of perfection. Because being anything but perfect or strong might cause people to not love you- that is what we think anyways- too many of us. In life and business which is why there is so much fakebook happening.
A new friend recently said to me “you are complicated to understand for me”. Now English is not his first language; although, he speaks it fluently. When one speaks 7 languages fluently their sentences are unique and a work of art.
I knew exactly what he meant. It is not the first time I have been told similar.
As open as I am, I am a book with many chapters that are layers deep. Actually, I am a series of books with many chapters that are layers deep. The series will not end until my last breathe is taken as the journey of life and living a truly health and fit life continues until that day comes.
There is so much that encompasses Health and Fitness. Health is defined as a state of complete mental, physical and social well-being; not merely the absence of illness or infirmity. Fitness is the ability to meet the demands of the environment. Holistic health is about caring for the whole person — providing for your physical, mental, spiritual, and social needs. It’s rooted in the understanding that all these aspects affect your overall health, and being unwell in one aspect affects you in others. THE 5 ASPECTS OF HOLISTIC HEALTH: PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, SOCIAL, SPIRITUAL, AND MENTAL. When it comes to holistic health we are looking beyond the physical body and are addressing physical, emotional, social, spiritual, and intellectual health.
Yes, I guess there is a certain mystic to me. When you are passionate about living a truly health and fit and happy life and see that passion alone encompasses so much- life is not boring- I am not boring. Yet, I am only a mystery to you if you do not take the time to learn the depth within. If you do not take the time to read each page and turn to the next because to skip any pages is to miss opportunity.
What I write about makes many uncomfortable. We think its more comfortable to stay in our current state of health and fitness because we think we cannot do it or it will require too much of us. We fail to realize if we stay in our current state of poor or average health and fitness the demand/ cost placed on us eventually will be far greater than the graduated and simple changes required now to start your journey to good health and fitness. The more uncomfortable something makes us the more I feel we need to hear it as it is slowly awakening a part of us we have buried deep within that us burning to surface.
Realty is very few will take the time to turn the pages and truly get to know me at my deepest level and learn all of my awesomeness. And just how much I care about you, your health, and your fitness.
It’s because I care that 70% of Americans are obese and in poor health and fitness that I will do just about anything to wake you up to change.
Its because I know so many of the deaths of covid or those with ongoing complications from having covid came as a result of there being an unspoken underlying- poor health and fitness.
I am not a one dimensional person who lives a one dimensional life. I am an open minded person open to learning and exploring new things. Open to hearing the viewpoint of others and having adult conversation not immature debate and argument. My mind continues to be blown on the regular by learning from experts, studies, science, etc that what I have been told or taught is truth is anything but the truth. My mind has been blown by people who I thought I knew who they were as a person only to learn they are anything but who I believed them to be.

None of these things happen by default, they happen by design.
I hope when voting opens later this month, that you will vote for me and take a stand for your friends to vote for me and their friends to vote for me not just because I take great care of my body and look pretty damn good for 50… more so because of what I stand for.
And that is every fucking person taking a step outside of complacency and towards them living their truly best health and fit lifestyle.
Who vote can I count on?
