If only…

We could choose where fat goes when we gain and where we lose fat…

I would have a much bigger booty!

There is no such thing as spot reducing or gaining.

We each have different body types and different genes that play a role in how and where we gain… and how and where we lose.

We also have other factors that play a role in how quickly we lose or gain such as our current level of health and fitness, hormone health, and the current health of our metabolism.

And as frustrating as it is, we tend to gain first where we least want to and lose last that which we are so eager to see go.

For instance, Apple shaped (holds more fat around mid section) will lose everywhere else faster and the belly fat will be the last to go.

Pear shaped (holds more fat in thighs and butts) will lose everywhere else faster and the thighs and butt will be the last to go.

It’s important to understand this and have patience in the process to remain engaged in the process.

To remain engaged in the process means keep focus on improving health and fitness.

To focus on improving health and fitness to reach aesthetic goals means we focus on

1. Progressive overload weight training. Muscle burns fat and sculpts unbelievable bodies. Muscle helps heal and reset metabolism.

2. Healthy Nutrition. Heals the body from the inside out and proper nutrition fuels a healthy metabolism.

3. Mental Health- Stress and Anxiety Management. #SelfCare #SelfLove

4. Proper Sleep and Rest

Here is what I know when you engage in the process you will get results. When you fully engage in the 4 points above not only will get results, you will sculpt your best body aesthetically. When you stay engaged in healthy and fit lifestyle habits apples will lose all that excess belly fat and pears will sculpt thighs and butts that are the envy.

What I also know is when we focus on #selfcare and #selflove we will come full circle into a truly healthy and fit lifestyle. Your sexual health will improve and your relationship health will improve. You will set boundaries in all areas to protect your energy and well being!

Health and fitness goals are very personal. Although many may have belief that people who are working on themselves- do so- to please others and those that have sculpted tight toned bodies to compete or just to feel great in a bikini or nothing at all- do so- for attention. “For others” is seldom the case and is usually a sign that additional mental health work is needed.

Most start because they want to look better for themselves. They are tired of the reflection that poor health and fitness creates looking back at them in the mirror.

The energy and other benefits getting started gives and then reaching true health and fitness brings is just perks to those that start for aesthetics. Those that start for the perks the improved aesthetics is the perk.

It doesn’t matter why you start if you focus on the 4 points above you will create a win/ win. Your health and fitness will improve and so will your aesthetics.

Those that give up and quit do so because they have no accountability, do not know what to do to succeed on the 4 points above, and have unrealistic expectations on progress and/or their goals and habits to reach their goals are not in alignment.

I believe a budget for #selfcare and #selflove is critical to well being.

We are either going to spend a little upfront to get into and maintain true health and fitness by investing in accountability and proper nutritions and preventative health care or we are going to spend a lot more finding what ails us, medicating what ails us, and managing what ails us plus medical emergencies that we encounter due to our poor health and fitness state.

A little upfront drastically improves quality of life for years to come and even extends life and the other drastically diminishes quality of life.

To me it is a no brainer that; quite honestly, too many take for granted. I think too many believe that medicine can give them a quality of life so they do what they want with expectations doctors will keep them going.

NOTHING and I mean nothing replaces self care and self love.

NOTHING will give you the quality of life that being truly healthy and fit will.

NOTHING!!

What we do in the gym sculpts the body of art and what we eat determines how quickly we reveal our body of art and if we reveal it at all.

You cannot be truly healthy and fit without weight training to build a strong body and you cannot be truly healthy and fit without proper nutrition. The two are equally important to protecting bone density, bone strength, and weight management.
