The great thing about mirror selfies and videos is there is only one answer and that is the one looking back at you.

I posted the other day about the upswing in posters who, in the name of #bodypositivity are posting all the way influencers edit their photos and videos to look so perfect.
This new wave of posters are combating the “perfect body” influencers with social media is fake and they are posting unfiltered pics and videos with “natural” poses. I don’t really call them natural because just as they are shaming influencers of always posing to look their best, these combat posters (also influencers btw) are over exaggerating with the most unflattering posing. Like I do not see too many people slumping and squeezing their butts inward to accentuate cellulite and fat. Me personally, I find inspiration in both your filtered and best posed influencers and those that combat.
My questions… Are all influencers filtering their pics and videos? Are all influencers using apps to actually change their bodies such as creating thigh gap, bigger boobs, leaner waist, or longer legs, etc? Maybe they are and maybe they are not- who the fuck knows and why do we really care.
Is all of social media fake? Considering I am pretty much an open book sharing the good, the bad, and the ugly my social media life is a true reflection of my life. I just do not always talk about how broke I am lol. I am rich in many ways:)
You see, when we realize that our only competition is the one looking back at us in the mirror we will stop comparing ourself to others and start taking action to be the best version of me!
So the question is not what does she/ he look like and how your body compares or how anything compares. Or even how does she/ he look that good? Or all the talk about everything she has probably had done to look like that.
It just does not fucking matter! You get that right?
Stop it already! It is only holding you back from being the best version of you that you can be!
Get naked and expose you to you. Bed head and all! Take a selfie from every angle. Regardless of how badly your bathroom mirror needs to be cleaned- mine clearly needs a good cleaning!
Ask yourself…
What do you love about your body?
What do you love about you?
How is your health?
How is your fitness?
Where do you want your health and fitness to be in 12 months from now?
What will that do for you?
Save those pics and lets get into action. If you focus on what matters (weight training and nutrition- notice how I did not use the word diet!); and you focus on those that motivate you to be your best; and you keep your energy positive, you will create health and fitness that supports an amazingly sculpted fit body aesthetically.
You will only start comparing your new pics to your old pics and celebrate how much progress you have made toward being in your best health and fitness to date.
Take care of you! Love you! Stop giving energy where it does not benefit YOU!
If someone motivates you follow them. If they make you feel bad unfollow them forever or just until you work on your self esteem with self care and self love so that someone’s photo or picture does not take you to a low place. If someones feed is holding you back from being your best version of you because there message keeps you comfortable in poor health and fitness unfollow them.
Work on you, you matter first!
