Question…
If a person had a #mental and #emotional issue with cutting themselves and they only made one small cut a day, would you excuse and reason away their cut to their body as moderation or a little is not harmful but a lot would be?
Why do we look at food and ingredients which is causing so much destruction in lives, in individual health, and in this country as a whole differently than we do other self destructive vices and tools?
Old school mentality isn’t moving the needle at all!
Reality is we have a BIG epidemic of poor #health and #fitness in this country!
BIG!
HUGE!
A growing even larger epidemic at alarming rate among adults and among children learning from adults poor health (bad nutrition) and fitness (lack of exercise) lifestyle #habits
This problem is fueled by profits.
Big Food
Big Pharma
Big Medicine
Big Insurance
When average and normal is poor health and fitness, there is no societal pressure for change other than to become #bodypositive about that which unhealthy habits is causing as part of a #bodypositivemovement when people are struggling mentally and emotionally because not only do they not feel good in their own skin but also because those same foods impact #mentalhealth and #emotionalhealth
We have physical health, mental health, and emotional health issues that 100% relate back to all the same ingredients and what is being eaten!!
The “all things in moderation” mentality is old school thinking and a buy into the exact agenda that supports big food and their ingredients that keep us hooked… AND ALL THINGS IN MODERATION IS NOT working.
Could be because an ingredient that is 8 times more addictive than cocaine known as sugar cannot be eaten in moderation when it’s hidden in 90% of processed foods to a “bliss” point.
Could be that it only takes one meal with inflammatory ingredients to disrupt the GUT so if we are practicing moderation every meal we are living in a state of inflammation which promotes joint aches, pains, and disease.
This mentality is buying into the mentality that with age we are destined to certain aches and pains because of the number and not how we well or not we took care of our bodies. Us not standing in the power of decision of choice to age better, on healthier terms.
We do have choice!!
It’s each of our individual choice, to choose what level of health we desire and the amount of complaint we wish to have as we age.
When I hear people complain about their age, I really am hearing them complain about the choices they have made because that is why they feel the way they feel at their age. Genetics plays a role, and people shake up genetics for the better and for the worse in every family.
Poor
Fair
Good
Great
Optimal
If your body is in a state of inflammation I am not sure that technically you could be above fair, and we are all compared to standard and normal for our age demographic so good compared to average these days is not what I truly consider good.
I personally want the true definition of health and holistic health, why am I going to intentionally fuel my body with ingredients that cause disruption.
If I am having a #healthy meal then it should actually be healthy.
If I am going to disrupt it’s not going to be under the disguise of a healthy meal laced with bad fats and sugar, it’s going to be a chosen food or meal without guilt like cake or cupcake or eating out Mexican where we cannnot be in control of all the ingredients.
We don’t lie to ourselves.
I am choosing to hold a higher level of maturity and ownership over my personal health care than that these days.
The more honest I am regarding ingredients and food, ironically, the less emojis there are when it comes to food.
You see, what if, everything in moderation mentality is actually a mentality that keeps food having power over you versus you taking back your power?
Focusing on and prioritizing on my true health, my fitness, and my body for optimal living has readjusted my entire thought process around food
and so has working on relationship with self.
Food is no longer endorphins, it’s life.
An important part of life that can keep giving quality of life or diminish the life I wish to live.
All in the choices I make.
So I am owning my choices!
Are you ready to start owning yours by beginning your journey?
