To Empower Better Choices
If you hopped on the scale this morning you only saw the water weight fluctuation and not the fat/ weight gained from the indulgences yesterday. Every extra 3500 calories consumed not burned will show up on the scale, it will not all be fat.
Some of you reached 3500 calories extra in your day/ week before coin toss even took place because you had excuse and reason to indulge called Super Bowl Parties.
I make conscious decisions around #nutrition#exercise and #supplements because I want to intentionally define my quality of day and life, I don’t want to be forced into changes.
I make conscious decisions because I love, not just like, feeling great in my own skin and also having the energy to do what I want and when, and #health that does not limit my choices.
I make conscious decisions because I love, not just like, how much more freeing clothing even feels and is when you feel great in your own skin to not be worrying clothing hugging a fat roll or making you look fatter than you are. Or hoping it makes you look leaner than you are.
The question is why do you ignore your conscious for decisions that lend to your unhappy with you? Your discontent with you?
So many gains and losses are lost to weekend rewards because we convince ourselves we earned them.
Why are we not convincing ourselves we earned…
The better health we are building to not derail it every weekend?
The better #fitness that affords us so much more fun to not take steps backwards every weekend?
The #body we have never achieved because we have always been slave to deprivation and rewards, not awarding ourselves by maintaining integrity to what we say we truly desire.
If we think we are deserving of something why is that which does not serve us well versus that which does?
Just food for thought I had while enjoying the Super Bowl with my #healthyeating habits that are not influenced by a game or a game day and that does not mean I am perfect, I am not.
I have mastered not attaching an emojo to food.
It’s not a reward.
I don’t use a holiday or a game day as excuse or reason to sabotage my goals. I am still human and still give in to the urge for a treat i know does not serve the GUT or body well, i have zero guilt about it and I dont lie to myself either.
Change starts with being truthful.
So pethaps we have such an epidemic because we have a much bigger problem of lying to self
What if? Just what if? We changed our #mindset around what the reward is?
