There is always the one or two or three…

and in current times far too many!

Recently, I shared my story about having COVID and what I was experiencing. As someone with an underlying ailment which compromises my immune system I thought it important to share my experience and how I know, without doubt, that it is my level of health and fitness that helped me be within the 1% to 2% that survived and will not have any long term damage as a result.

Someone utilized my post to air his beliefs on COVID, his beliefs on traveling during COVID times, etc., to communicate how irresponsible and inconsiderate my post was. I always welcome healthy debate because I think we learn from each other and I have a strong boundary that I will not allow others to use my feed or my post to fight and attack because they have a need and immaturity to always be right. You know, the person who has to get the last word because they do not choose to listen and have an open mind to the possibility that perhaps what they have been told to be the truth is actually not the truth at all or what they have been taught to believe is not accurate. He then went on to say that my irresponsible post was clearly an attempt to self promote for new clients.

Doesn’t everyone with an expertise bring forth their expertise and educate others to help those who are in need of their expertise.

He is in his one sided argument was selling his belief that he is right and everyone who thinks differently is wrong so that people will continue to live in fear as he has chosen to do.

Poor health and fitness has been a long term epidemic in this country. It kills millions each year! We now have a “pandemic” that for those who have poor health and/or underlying health conditions can have deadly or life altering consequences. Some will argue that they know people who have died or have life altering consequences that had no underlying health conditions. That may be true. And, could there be the possibility that they were not in optimal health and fitness; therefore, there underlying health issue was poor health and fitness. Hospitals and health professionals are not getting paid to write down that as cause of death… they are getting paid more money to mark covid as a cause of death. That is fact from medical professionals and not my opinion.

We often confuse aesthetics with optimal health and fitness. Thin and/or a good figure and/ or what appears to be a fit body does not always equal a healthy body. There are fitness competitors who look to be in premium shape and health; and yet, they take drugs (not talking healthy supplements- actual drugs such as steroids) that have a negative impact on their body

(Heart and organs) to look that way versus taking the natural approach and maximizing where their muscles will naturally grow.

Let’s not confuse outward appearance for being healthy and fit- they don’t go hand in hand. There are millions of youth that look great and cannot even walk a mile. Obesity is a problem in America… and so is skinny fat!

I am not committed and passionate to helping others live a truly healthy and fit lifestyle because I am a Health and Fitness Coach, I am a Health and Fitness Coach because I am passionate and committed to living a truly healthy and fit lifestyle!

I am passionate and committed because I know what it feels like to not be healthy! I know what it feels like to be healthy! When I was diagnosed 7 years ago I learned more than ever how valuable ones state of health and fitness is and how important proper nutrition is for our bodies.

When you experience both- you know without doubt- that when others experience both they will never choose to be unhealthy again.

I have witnessed family members- Father, Mother, Aunts, Uncles, Grandparents accept family history of heart disease and in so many ways take belief that it is just their destiny versus take action to change it! Accepting a destiny because it runs in the family for some seems the only choice and for others feels so much easier than actual creating change in ones own health and fitness to stop the cycle and create a new future for themselves, their kids, their grandkids, and so on.

Easier? Really?

I don’t think it is easier to live on medicines to bandaid versus nutrition to prevent and reverse damage plus reduce, if not eliminate altogether, the use of those medicines.

I don’t think it is easier to live life limited by difficulty of breathing from heart disease than to have energy from health that allows blood and oxygen to flow freely delivery to every organ what it needs so one can do what they want when they want.

I don’t think it is easier going to doctor appointments after doctor appointments versus spending 30 minutes 5 days a week in the gym.

I don’t think it is easier recovering from heart attacks and strokes or having long term impact as a result is easier than it is choosing proper nutrition and fitness.

I don’t think the weight gain is easier.

I don’t think the aches and pains that accompany poor health and fitness are worth it.

And I certainly do not think the lack of self esteem or self worth that accompanies one not feeling good is worth it.

We are not family history! Does family history matter, of course! It should motivate us to fight like hell to defy it! Family history does not determine our history- we do!

We ultimately determine our health! We determine it by our choices in nutrition and our choices in exercise.

We can have excuses or results and we cannot have both! Which do you choose? Excuses or Results?

You own the fucking power! Stop giving it away!!

There are foods that fuel and foods that slow us down and cause a slow death. There are foods that prevent and foods that feed disease. There are exercise routines that builds fitness and exercise routines that wreak havoc on our bodies.

I won’t apologize for sharing my stories, my expertise, and being passionate about subject matters that we need to wake up to… and take action.

Not just for ourselves- also for those we love!

I will never apologize for ending each post with I am here to help… because guess what… I am here to help!

The question is are you ready to get real with your current state of health and fitness and take control of your future state of health and fitness? Or are you just going to lay down and let the shit hit the fan because how we take care of bodies or lack thereof will always catch up with us its just a matter of when.

It is your choice to be proactive or reactive… and the difference in quality of lifestyle between the two is far greater than you can even imagine.

Is your health age younger, equal to, or older than your actual age? For most their health age is much older. I have worked with those in their 20”s who have health age in later 30’s and even 40’s so you cannot convince me you feel great if your health age is far older than you age on this planet. And most of us don’t even realize just how out of shape we are until we actual get into a truly healthy and fit state.

Fuck New Years Resolutions! Let’s do this one day at a time until we create habit that last a lifetime.
