You have to eat to lose…

If you train with me you have heard me say again and again you have to eat to lose, eat to fuel, and eat to gain.

90% of reaching our ideal body weight is nutrition.

What we do in the gym with weights sculpts the physique we would like reflecting back in the mirror. What we eat determines when and if we ever fully expose the work of art we have sculpted.

That’s right! Starve the body from what it needs to lose, fuel, and build… you will hinder and even Haupt your results!

It’s very simple! Because 90% of reaching our ideal body weight is nutrition, if we simply ate proper nutrition and the correct calorie intake, we would lose weight.

The problem with using nutrition alone to lose or maintain one’s weight is that being truly healthy and fit is so much more than the number of pounds you weigh on a scale.

So much more!

Not to mention, to make real change in the body (remember our genetics are our blank canvas, our weight training sculpts the piece of art we wish to see reflecting back in the mirror) such as building a larger booty, tightening a booty, building and/or defining arms, building, leaning, and/or defining legs, tight flat abs or maybe a 6 pack, etc requires weight training AND proper nutrition.

Why is it we have to eat to lose, eat to fuel, and eat to gain so important? Americans have gotten fatter and fatter with the political power, influence, and money behind our food and recommended exercise.

Don’t think political power, influence, and money have anything to do with what news we hear about food and what food is made available to us?

Do some research!

There are studies silenced on sugar showing its harm to our health and its addictive behaviors that are equal to crack cocaine.

What about the campaign to reduce red meat for healthy hearts?

What about the decade of “fat free” processed foods that made Americans more fat.

Organic versus non organic. A government department creates and maintains the rules for what qualifies. Do you know the difference? Do you know what you are intaking and what it is doing to your body? For example, It’s not red meat that is the killer, it is what the cow was injected with that is.

Dairy. Who promotes drinking cows milk? Who benefits when we do?

What about the “food pyramid” that promotes and teaches us to eat grains etc when the grains in this country are so processed and are linked to Alzheimer’s, Dimensia, and other diseases. Not to mention bloat and other ailments. Who creates the food pyramid? A government department.

Who regulates public school food? Government agency.

Reality is, it does not take much time to open your eyes and awaken your mind to the truth. You just have to be willing to open your eyes and mind to the truth.

Then you have to be willing to then make change based on the truth!

As we have gotten fatter and fatter creating a real epidemic of poor health and fitness in this country, we have also followed untruths about how to get and maintain a healthy and fit self. Especially women! We tend to focus on cardio and restrictive eating more than men. However, anyone (men and woman) who focuses on cardio and restrictive calorie diets will burn muscle thus reducing metabolism, burn muscle thus break down bone density at a more rapid pace which weakens us as we age, will slow and harm metabolism by restrictive and equal calories each day, will create imbalance in the bodies hormones further slowing metabolism, and will starve the body of necessary energy to fuel the body for movement and the brain for thought.

When we take a look behind eat to lose, eat to fuel, and eat to build the truth becomes clear.

You don’t have to look far to actually see an example of the truth. Take a look at me. I am a 50 years young woman! I have low body fat percentage, high muscle percentage, and I am truly healthy and fit from practicing healthy and fit lifestyle habits.

When most women approaching 50 or in their 50’s are complaining of wider waistlines, slower metabolisms, feeling tired, and then blaming such ailments on aging or menopause…why am I different?

Are my genes just that much better? NO. In fact, my Mom had all of the same complaints above. Heart disease including high blood pressure and high cholesterol run in both sides of my family starting early in life with most going on some sort of prescription to manage said condition in their 40’s.

Why is my health age 32? It’s because I eat to lose, eat to fuel, and eat to gain.

I am not special, there are many examples like me in this world and even older.

It’s not genetics, it choices!

What does “Eat to Lose” mean?

Eat to lose means that we adjust our nutrition plans to eliminate foods that interfere with the bodies ability to heal. Yes, calories will be greatly decreased; however, they are not decreased because we restrict intake they are decreased because we exchange what we intake.

Most of my clients, as did I, struggle to eat all that is in my proper nutrition plan!

The difference is you will be eating to lose.

You will be healing your bruised and slowed metabolism.

You will be healing your hormone and vitamin imbalance.

You will be healing your entire body from poor health and fitness.

You will be creating habits that last a lifetime!

What does “Eat to Fuel” mean?

Eat to fuel means that we are eating proper nutrition which increases our energy levels allowing us to easily participate in our normal daily activities and our fitness activities.

What does “Eat to Build” mean?

Eat to build means that we are eating increased proper nutrition with the right amount of Protien needed for the body to gain muscle.

Ladies, most women cannot look like a man without drugs! We lift to sculpt and bring our bodies in nice and tight. I am 25 lbs heavier than I was previously at this same size. Actually, I am a size smaller!

Most men cannot even look like a body builder without drugs.

So each person’s desire on how much muscle they want to put on and where such as the booty is personal choice.

As a trainer the only goal I have aside from my clients personal health, fitness, and aesthetic goal is for each client to hit their sweet spot between body fat percentage and muscle percentage where their bodies then turn into fat burning machines.

It’s simple!

It’s a choice!

Eat for poor health and fitness that lowers quality of life… or eat to lose, eat to fuel, and eat to build a body of great health and fitness.

The question is do you love yourself enough to choose you being truly healthy and fit?
